Yesterday my day started with a real good old fashioned belly laugh. Received the current issue of Seeds of Joy and opened a few pages. Made a note of two Dr. Albert Schweitzer quotations:
Success is not the key to happiness.
Happiness is the key to success.
If you love what you are doing,
You will be successful.
Next I went to the Seeds of Joy Humor page – and here is the one I must share with you:
A DOG NAMED MACE
A mechanic, who worked out of his home,
had a dog named Mace.
Mace had a bad habit of eating all the grass in the mechanic’s lawn, so that mechanic had to keep Mace indoors.
Eventually the ground became overgrown.
One day the mechanic dropped a wrench in the tall grass.
He searched, but could not find it.
That night, Mace escaped from the house and ate all the grass. The next morning, the mechanic went outside
and saw his wrench glinting in the sunlight.
Realizing what had happened
he looked towards heaven and said
A grazing Mace.
How sweet the hound,
that saved a wrench for me.
Tried it on my friend Carmel. She too had a hearty laugh.
Later my ego raised its ugly head.
Share this joke with a few friends. Its not for the journal. Why not? There is a whole backlog of more important things to be shared. Like what? Well, like you know …
Result: I did not post this page.
Today I had another talk with myself. You don’t have to be original. You don’t have to be a miracle worker. Just be yourself and enjoy it! You accepted a mission: Use your power to share by sharing things that you think worth sharing. Its always up to the reader to accept or reject it. Right?
