The worldwide commercialization of education is increasing day by day and often it is being connected with the assurance of one’s career or say livelihood. Admission in such assured courses is open to those who can spend a lot, as an investment guaranteeing high returns. Thus, educational institutions have turned into industries with an ISO certification for assured services.

I had a natural inclination in Mathematics and Numerical Physics and when I was in the 12th Standard, I was giving tuitions (from 1964 to 1969), charging fees, of course, to the students up to the 11th Standard, as the expenditure on my living and studies was to be earned by me. Besides, I was also helping those who could not pay tuition fees but sought my help. After studies, when I joined regular service as a proofreader in a printing press, I took a vow not to charge any fees and help those who came at their own desire.
Again, I charged students fees during the years 1990-91 when I was at one place and the other members of my family were at a distant place for two years. My salary was just sufficient for the family only. Then 5 students approached me for tuitions, paying just sufficient money for managing my own livelihood. Thereafter, my interest in spirituality took over my interest in tuitions.

Nature is a good teacher that allows anybody to look and probe into its mysteries and also allows itself to be exploited by mankind. Other species only utilize nature for their sustenance but the species of Homo sapiens is greedy. This greed indeed has led to extinction of numerous living and non-living resources. Moreover, certain of his activities are leading to the degradation of the environment too.

For a spiritual teacher money doesn’t matter, as he isn’t bothered about his sustenance, which of course is provided by the beneficiaries, sometimes even more than what he needs. Excess resources are utilized for the benefit of other needy aspirants of spirituality or for mankind suffering from some calamity, or for bringing up the downtrodden in society.

Spirituality is a science connected with the peace and pleasure of the mind. It nourishes one’s mind faculties for the higher goal of life. You can well imagine the mood of a person who leaves this world unsatisfied and devoid of the true love gained in life.

Why is one supposed to help the person treading the path of spirituality? When one is seriously following spirituality the worldly wits go to the back of the mind and then either one is not able to manage one’s livelihood in society or takes up some kind of work for the welfare of mankind with no assured return. However, one’s personal expenses are reduced to the bare minimum – just a little food and a piece of cloth to cover the body is sufficient. If society needs his teachings or services then the beneficiaries having extra resources provide it to him.

We enjoy the company of a child even without providing it anything and it too doesn’t demand anything except our company and affections. Similarly, a spiritual teacher doesn’t demand anything from others but shows the right path and showers his love to the entire creation.

About me.
I was born on 8 December 1945 and had self-realisation on 20 August 1977 at the age of 32. Thereafter I automatically shifted to the devotion path and a sort of relationship developed with God. Starting as a servant to God, then friendliness with God and then started liking God in child form. There is nothing left except to enjoy divine love and feel its presence in the whole world.
