I was telling my friend that my mother attended a healing seminar recently where she’d witnessed lots of healing miracles. He asked if she was fired-up. I said she was but she’s coming down and finds she has to put what she’s learned into practice.

“You have to be there for her,” he said.

I know exactly what my mother is going through. I remember when I used to attend personal development talks, workshops and seminars. It was exciting meeting like-minds. There were synchronicities galore. I was buzzing. I couldn’t wait to apply what I’d learned. As soon I returned to the “real world” my enthusiasm seem to fizzle into nothing.

What happened to all my good intentions and my feeling of joy?

The real world, with its doom and gloom happened. The real world believes wonder and magic are: fairy tales that you grow out of when you become an adult; can be read in books or watched in movies. Don’t expect miracles in the real world because it ain’t going to happen, sweetheart. If you want to keep experiencing that feeling of joy and wonder, you’re going to have to sign up for another talk next week; attend the next seminar next month…and so on.

Well, I beg to differ.

I was queuing up in the supermarket. There were only a few tills open. They also had the self-service tills available but strangely enough customers weren’t interested. I prefer dealing with people.

The queue I was in was painfully slow and the guy on the till looked really miserable. I decided to bless everyone in the supermarket with love. The till beside me was soon open and some of us were invited to use it. I decided to stay in the queue I was in. When I got to the check-out I smiled at the customer assistant but he remained sour-faced. Oh well, at least I was still in my joy.

So blessing is one way I stay fired up. Wherever I am, whatever I am doing, I am always blessing with love.

Other ways I stay fired up are:

Doing what I love.
Reading material that inspire me.
Sharing what inspires me.
Being with people who are fun.
Praying.
Being in silence.

Most of all, I stay fired up because I BELIEVE in MAGIC.
