this isn't likely to be insightful for any other people, mainly because it's a question (or i think it will turn out to be). what i wonder, though, is WHY we can realize maybe these "illusory" aspects of life (the ego, a lot of things about society) but still serve them so strongly. and sure, maybe you can say, "well you haven't learned them deeply enough, or learned from them deeply enough." but what is that? or why is it? does it mean that i just haven't deeply learned it YET (yet being the key word)? and if conscious thoughts or beliefs can't affect this thing, then what can? what gets to the truth (in complete general)??
