Let’s give it a try, Dana. For practical purposes unconditional love might first be seen as the power that enables us to do something nice for someone without expecting anything in return - just for the hell of it.
However, every definition depends upon a chosen viewpoint. So, with all the viewpoints possible not everyone may agree on the same definition.
Given this diversity we may perhaps explore several more viewpoints.
I can also see unconditional love as the power that creates everything, including this text, the one who writes it and the one who reads it. For some this power equals God, and why not?
If this power is so all encompassing we shouldn’t be surprised to see it manifested by animals and plants and nature in general.
Setting our vision still a notch higher, we might even be able to see that acts which do not seem to express love, nevertheless are a call for love - so, they’re still in the ball game.
That’s where divisions and definitions don’t really matter anymore because we recognize love when we see it and the conditions, which only existed in our mind, have disappeared. That’s when we recognize our real Self in others and that’s unconditional love. Stan Related link: ask not the sparrow ... related link: http://www.powertoshare.com/ask-not.htm
