The outside world is inside our head. Without our senses, the world wouldn’t exist. Take a spoon. If you cannot see it, if you cannot touch it, if you cannot taste it, if you cannot smell it, and if you cannot hear it, then does it exist? You could say that other people would sense it, but now you have to question whether other people exist because you cannot sense them either. You couldn’t say that the world is there because when you had your senses it was there. That moment it was there, this moment it might not be. You cannot definitively say that the world is there without sensing it. But a person could still "be" without their senses.

If you are wondering where I am going with this, I am kind of alluding to a higher self without the use of five senses, our world as an illusion. This also pertains to life after death.

Really, I'm just thinking out loud. But I'd love to hear what someone else had to say.
